Yasiel Puig, 23 year old Dodgers’ outfielder, has been criticized for not having his head in the game like losing tracks of outs. He is an interesting, controversial player who has definitely made an impact on the league.

But it was different on Thursday night at Citi Field against the Mets. In the second inning, Mets shortstop Wilmer Flores hit a ball to right center field that sure looked like an extra base hit, but Puig was there and it can be said that he made one of the best catches of 2014.

Definitely someone had something negative to say, poor Puig, can never please anyone. He is the type of player fans either love or hate him. He can hit, has the speed, power and the arm. He entered Tuesday’s game hitting .333 with 10 homers, a .610 slugging percentage, four steals.

Do you think this has been the catch of the season?
