Although the Nürburgring is suffering from critical levels of poor management and mounting debt, it doesn't make the race track anything less than one of the greatest motorsport venues in the world.

A massive track 17.563 miles long, the Nürburgring features for configurations, the most famous of which is the Nordschleife, consisting of 14.173 miles of treacherous blind crests and 153 corners, racing great Sir Jackie Steward gave the old Nürburgring circuit the nickname "The Green Hell" to describe the constant physical demands as well as the fatal consequences of misjudgment from the most demanding purpose-built racing circuits in the world.

As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words and the sheer size of the Nürburgring is something you must see to believe. Since an impromptu ticket to Germany is unrealistic for the most of us, a short film will have to suffice.

French director Stephane Benini of Clash Productions shares a six minute long video called 'Titan' that captures the sights and sounds of the Nürburgring so vividly, the three other senses could pretty much fill in the blanks to fully immerse in the experience.

Appropriately titled, the extended "Titan' trailer was meant to promote an even grander full-length movie. However, perhaps because Titan suffered financial difficulties similar to those that have all but sealed the Nürburgring's fate, the movie's 2010 release never happened.

Have a happy hump day, everybody! Enjoy the video:
