Pink and Carey Hart, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, as well as Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton are just a few of celebrity couples who already signed the divorce papers but ended up getting back together. This means that despite their ongoing legal battle on how to divide their matrimonial assets, it’s not impossible for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to also become a pair once more. Why?

They’re Single Yet Not Dating Anyone

Divorces sometimes result from issues that arose out of married life and not because the couple lost the feelings they have for each other. This might just be the case for Pitt and Jolie.

The “Tomb Raider” star was reportedly saddened that she had to drop the Pitt family name and is reported to still have feelings for her ex. “Still, it makes her a bit sad as she realizes that this is the end of a very big and meaningful part of her life,” a source close to Jolie revealed. “She had a lot of love for Brad and thought she would always be a Pitt, so this has been a challenging time.”

Pitt is likewise reportedly reluctant to enter the dating scene once more, and he once assumed that Jolie was the one. “When he finally married Angelina and decided to have a family with her, he intended it to be the last relationship, the last marriage he was ever going to have,” a source close to the actor said.

At the moment, both are not dating anyone. Could it be that they’re waiting for the other to make the first move at reconciling? Only time will tell.

Their Kids Might Convince Them To

Having children usually complicates things between married couples. Thus, one often hears of people staying in the marriage just for the sake of their kids. The same reasoning might apply to Pitt and Jolie if their kids plead for them to reconcile.

There’s actually already a precedent to the couple acquiescing to their children’s wishes. “The kids ask about marriage. So it’s something we’ve got to look at,” Pitt once said. Since it was their kids who got them to marry in the first place, it isn’t too farfetched to imagine them asking their parents to reconcile this time.

They Have A Headache Dividing Their £500M Fortune

Their enormous matrimonial assets, estimated to be worth around £500M, might take years to sort out. Settlement proceedings seem to be heading into a deadlock since both Pitt and Jolie reportedly want to get hold of the same piece of property — their 1000-acre wine estate Château Miraval located in Provence, France. Thus, it would be far easier for them, as well as their respective accountants and lawyers, if they decide to reconcile so they won’t have to split what they have.
