Meghan Markle is being regarded as a young newcomer in the royal family. But a royal expert recently said that this isn’t exactly the case.

On Aug. 4, the Duchess of Sussex will be celebrating her 38th birthday. Compared with the other members of the Fab Four, namely, Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry, Meghan is the oldest.

While speaking with The Sun, Phil Dampier said that the “Suits” alum should be mature enough to patch things up between her and the other royals. Months ago, it was reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will split from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

“She is the oldest of all of them,” Dampier said. “Already we think of her as this young newcomer but she is nearly middle-aged. We tend to forget that she will be 38 so hopefully she’s mature enough and the others are mature enough to realize they are all in it together for the long term,” he added.

The royal expert went on to say that after Queen Elizabeth II passes away, the Fab Four would have to get on with each other because they would also have more responsibilities. As such, it would be much better for them to sort out their problems now instead of later.

“I think they have patched it up and I think they are getting on a lot better than they were a few months ago,” he said. “I think they’ve both come to their senses. Whether the Queen or Charles has said something to them I don’t know but it wouldn’t surprise me.”

Another royal expert said that Kate and Meghan are no longer feuding. While speaking with Hello! magazine, Carolyn Durand also said that the two female duchesses text regularly.

“Kate was a great source of support to Meghan in the days leading up to Archie's birth and, despite reports of a rift, they are family and have a really lovely friendship,” Durand said. “ Their relationship has certainly evolved over time, and they have become closer since Meghan's wedding,” she added.
