“Sex Education” season 1 ended on a cliffhanger and on a high note so it's no surprise Netflix has already given its go signal for a second season.

The second season will have eight episodes and fans can expect the show to address other issues of racism, homophobia, LGBTQIA+, sexism, along with sexual problems and mental health much like the first season.

From a light-hearted teenage comedy, the final episodes of the series shifted smoothly to a more realistic setting. After the intriguing ending of season one, the viewers are eagerly waiting to find out whether Otis and Maeve could come together as a couple in season two.

Netflix has kept mum on any possible “Sex Education” season 2 spoilers. But, fans are anticipating that the storyline might pick up where it left off - Otis having the time of his life being in a relationship. Whether it's with Maeve or Ola, it should be interesting to see how Otis would act as a boyfriend for the first time.

Maeve, meanwhile, is left with no one after dumping her boyfriend Jackson, (Kedar Sterling-Williams). With Otis currently involved in a romantic relationship with Ola, there might be a possibility of him cheating on her in the upcoming season to go all out with Maeve.

Unfortunately, the viewers will have to wait until the airing of “Sex Education” season two, to find out whether Otis and Maeve finally get together or not. Furthermore, there are a bunch of plots left open in season one, including Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) and Adam’s (Connor Swindells) romantic involvements, and the potential romance between Jean and Jackob (Mikael Persbrandt).

Although the airing date is yet to be announced, the production will begin shortly in the UK this spring, Cosmopolitan reported. Almost the entire crew, including Gillian Anderson, Asa Butterfield, Patricia Allison, Ncuti Gatwa, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Tanya Reynolds, Emma Mackey, Aimee-Lou Wood, and Connor Swindells, are expected to return in the second season of “Sex Education.”
