The fourth wife of a man in Ogun stabbed his partner to death in Ogun after finding out that the deceased had gotten another woman pregnant. The victim was identified as 51-year-old Jimoh Nasirudeen who is reportedly a co-butcher with his wife at an abattoir in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

The main suspect in the case is Olanshille Nasirudeen who argued with Jimoh before the stabbing occurred. Based on reports, the 47-year-old confronted the woman that her husband impregnated and questioned her for having an affair with her hubby.

When things got heated between the couple, the woman allegedly picked up a knife and stabbed Jimoh in the back joint of his left leg. A vein was cut as a result of the attack and the 51-year-old ended up excessively bleeding.

Jimoh was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention for aid. He would be later transferred to the Ijebu Ode General hospital where he succumbed while getting treatment.

A distress call was made to the DPO Obalende division who rushed to check the scene. When police arrived, Olanshille was nowhere to be found. It turns out she fled the scene immediately. However, her whereabouts were traced and police were able to apprehend her at the Mobalufon area of Ijebu Ode.

When she was questioned, the 47-year-old claims that it was her late husband that started the whole thing when she was slapped for questioning his new wife about her mission at a market stand.

“The corpse of the deceased has been released to the family for burial in accordance with Islamic rites after the autopsy had been conducted on it,” Ogun State Police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi stated.

The body of Jimoh has already been released to the family for burial under Islamic rights after an autopsy is carried out. As for Olanshille, commissioner of police Edward Ajogun ordered her transfer to the homicide section of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for proper investigation and prosecution.
