A custom dress commissioned to make prom extra special instead ruined the night when an ill-fitting, glue-gunned garment was delivered hours before the event.
A now-viral video shows the teen girl in tears as she tries on the dress that was far from the custom, high-end gown the mother said she allegedly paid over $1,000 for, Hip-HopVibe reported.
A woman says she paid over a thousand dollars to a designer for a custom prom dress, but the designer allegedly ordered a $50 dress from Temu instead. 😳💰

"You ruined my f***ing day! What did I do to deserve a dress like that?" 👗 pic.twitter.com/U6n7HHVytI
In the emotional clip, the teen models a red gown with a flimsy mesh train and sagging faux pearl beading. "YOU RUINED MY F***IN DAY," the girl captioned a photo of the dress on Facebook. The dress allegedly didn't arrive until hours before the event, leaving no time for the young woman to shop for a replacement.
"I pay her $310 deposit February 11. Do you know when I got this shipped? The day of prom at two hours before prom. Look at what she did, she hot glued these heavy a** beads on this thin a** material," the teen's mother said in a clip examining the dress.
The woman's mother reportedly commissioned a one-of-a-kind dress for her daughter's big night in February—but suspects the designer took the money and ordered a mass-produced gown instead. While no receipts or order confirmations have been publicly shared, the dramatic difference between expectations and reality sparked outrage online.
that lady dead wrong for what she did but they should have gotten a backup dress-

Social media users flooded the comments with reactions ranging from sympathy to satire, warning others to vet sellers before spending large amounts on special occasion attire.
When spending that amount of money, you need to make sure that so called designer has references and customer reviews. Thats just me.

Temu was accused of being the source of the dress, but told Hip-HopVibe that the dress shown in the video is not sold on their platform. A similar dress is available on Etsy for $135.
I'm not paying you more than $100 for nothing if I don't have a direct address to where I can come back to and eff ish up if necessary.

As of now, the designer has not responded, and the family at the center of the story has not released further details. Still, the fallout from this dress disaster serves as a stark reminder of the risks involved in trusting the wrong vendors—especially when prom memories are on the line.
