The Cleveland Indians are just one game away from winning their first World Series since 1948. The Tribe lead the 2016 World Series by a 3-2 margin, but the favored Chicago Cubs aren’t going away just yet.

How We Got Here

The Indians jumped out to a commanding 3-1 series lead, however the Cubs got a huge Game 5 victory at home in the Windy City. That marked the first time the Cubs had won a World Series game at Wrigley Field since 1945, when they beat the Detroit Tigers. The Cubs may very well have won nine more games than the Indians in the regular season, but the Indians have home-field advantage because the American League win the annual All Star.

Game 6 Starters

Jake Arrieta will be getting the start for the Cubs in Game 6. Arrieta already started Game 2 of this World Series, and that proved to be good luck for the Cubs. The Cubs went on to win that game by a 5-1 score as Arrieta allowed just one run. Cubs fans are hoping that will repeat itself. As for the Indians, they will be starting Josh Tomlin, who saw limited action in Game 3 as the Indians won, 1-0. Tomlin pitched just 4.2 innings in Game 3 without a allowing a single run while Andrew Miller took care of the rest.

When

Game 6 will be played at 8:08 p.m. ET on FOX on Tuesday, Nov. 1. You can watch a live game stream here.

Where

Game 6 will be played at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio. The Indians are 1-1 thus far at home in this World Series. No more games will be played at Chicago.

What’s Next?

If the Indians win Game 6 the season is over. The Indians will have won their first World Series title since 1948, and it will be Cleveland’s second professional championship of 2016. Incredible isn’t it? If the Cubs find a way to pull off a win in Cleveland, it means they are alive to fight another day. A potential Game 7 will be played in Cleveland on Tuesday in a winner take all matchup.
