In an odd tale, a 17-year-old was reportedly tied up and imprisoned by a 20-year-old man from Cornwall for allegedly stealing drugs. The whole incident was captured on video with the accused allegedly resorting to the measure to teach the victim a lesson.

The 17-year-old was reportedly from Ebbw Vale and the incident happened on Feb. 3. The accused was identified as John Lee who was behind the whole thing stemming from a drug dispute.

He was wearing a camouflage face mask at the time and even had a 12-inch knife that he held towards the victim’s neck as he tied the teenager’s limbs with duct tape.

It appears that Lee carried out the whole thing to teach not only the teenager but others that they should not rob drug dealers. The victim thought he would be killed, asking Lee if he would kill him. There was reportedly another man present during the imprisonment.

The whole thing was given proper attention when the 17-year-old went home and appeared highly distressed.

"It shows the defendant in a distressed state, he's crying and asks repeatedly if [Lee] is going to kill him. The defendant tells him he won't be killed but his hands will be bound and to shut his mouth before taping his mouth shut. The defendant is wearing a face mask to hide his identity," Prosecutor Paul Hewitt stated.

Lee was only arrested in May and the 20-year-old insisted that it was done because the victim had stolen his drugs and threw them away.

However, records show that Lee has a record. That included stealing a red Ford Fiesta last Mar. 8 that he drove recklessly in Worcester town center at 3:30 a.m. while traveling to Birmingham.

Lee would plead guilty to false imprisonment, possession of a blade, dangerous driving, and aggravated vehicle taking. He also has previous convictions for robbery, causing actual bodily harm, dangerous driving and burglary.

Even though there was no money involved in the incident, Lee was considered dangerous by Judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke. As a result of this, the 20-year-old was given an extended sentence of six years.

He will serve two-thirds of the four-year custodial period before being considered for parole. Lee will also serve a further two years on license. He was also disqualified from driving for five years and eight months.
