Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson’s torrid romance seemed to be just too good to be true. Unsurprisingly, their tumultuous breakup was a bit much for fans to process as things moved a little too fast since the start with the young Hollywood couple.

But on the upside, netizens got some really amusing takeaways from their entire relationship. Here are some of them:

1. BDE – this term was coined by Grande herself. BDE, meaning big d**k energy, refers to the size of her former beau’s private part. The term rose to prominence when a screenshot of Grande’s Tweet went viral.

2. Thank U, Next – there’s no denying how Grande makes a mention of all her famous exes in this uber-popular track. But there’s a special catch — the song was categorically penned keeping Davidson in mind.

3. Lollipops make for a good accessory – the meme industry had a field day after snaps of Grande relishing a lollipop made its rounds — and hungrily eyeing Davidson while at it.

4. Pete Davidson the power player – if the relationship brought out anything significant, it was Davidson cementing his spot among Hollywood’s young power players. Just for the record, the man scored some great deals amid the engagement breakup from Grande.

Going back in time, Grande hasn’t really had the best luck when it comes to love and relationships. Despite her failed relationship with Davidson, she calls it an “amazing distraction.”

“Then I met Pete, and it was an amazing distraction,” Grande said in an interview. “It was frivolous and fun and insane and highly unrealistic, and I loved him, and I didn’t know him,” she added.

Before Davidson’s arrival into her life, Grande was in a serious relationship with Mac Miller, so much so that his passing away left her distraught and affected her relationship with Davidson. She called it quits with him weeks after Miller’s death.

Since their breakup, Grande has been laying low and has been focusing on her career. She’s glad to have consumed most of her time on work and is hustling it like a boss! She believes her single status has changed her for the best.

“I’ve been boo’d up my entire adult life,” Grande said. “I’ve always had someone to say goodnight to. So Thank U, Next was this moment of self-realization. It was this scary moment of ‘Wow, you have to face all this stuff now. No more distractions. You have to heal all this s***.’”
