It’s official: Adele will be hosting the NCB sketch comedy series, “Saturday Night Live!” The 32-year-old singer shared the update via an Instagram post on Sunday, visibly excited about the project that’s slated to be hosted on October 24, where’s she’d be sharing the stage with Grammy-winning artiste, H.E.R.

“Bloooooody hellllll I’m so excited about this!!” Adele wrote on Instagram, adding, “And also absolutely terrified! My first-ever hosting gig and for SNL of all things!!!” This stint would put her in the league of Drake, Jennifer Lopez, Harry Styles, and several others who’ve hosted the popular show in the past.

The singer maintained that she always harboured deep desires to do it as a stand-alone moment. “But if there was ever a time for any of us to jump headfirst into the deep end with our eyes closed and hope for the best it’s 2020, right? It’ll be almost 12 years to the day that I first appeared on the show, during an election...which went on to break my career in America, so it feels full circle and I just couldn’t possibly say no!” she enthused, as she broke the news to her 39 million followers.

Expressing her excitement over having H.E.R as a musical guest on the show, Adele added, “I love her SO much I can’t wait to melt into a flaming hot mess when she performs, then confuse myself while I laugh my arse off in between it all. See you next week ♥️__.” H.E.R also took to Instagram to share the joy. "Can’t wait!!!!! @nbcsnl,” she said. “Saturday Night Live” is slated to go on air on NBC at 11.30 p.m.

The most recent episode of the late-night stand-up show saw “Insecure” star and creator Issa Rae as the host, while musical guest Justin Bieber amped it up with his latest tracks, "Holy" and "Lonely."
