Jessica Meuse was the weakest link in last night's show. Based on that she might be in danger of going home but now it's all in America's hands. Fox

Last night on "American Idol," the Top 7 performed in front of the judges and America. The night’s theme was “Competitor’s Picks” basically meaning that they would choose songs for their fellow competitors. The Top 7 consisted of Sam Woolf, Jessica Meuse, Caleb Johnson, C.J Harris, Dexter Roberts, Alex Preston and Jena Irene.

First up Caleb picked Alex’s choice for him, “Family Tree.” He received great feedback from the judges. The judges agreed it was a great way to start the show. Up next, Jessica Meuse picked Sam’s choice for her, “Gunpowder and lead.” Jennifer Lopez said it did not seem natural. Harry said that rhythmically she was off. Keith said she lacked energy. Next, C.J Harris picked Caleb’s choice for him, “Gravity.” JLo said it was one of his best performances yet. Harry also agreed with her. Next up, Dexter Roberts picked C.J’s choice for him, “Muckalee Creek Water.” He received mixed feedback from the judges. Next up, Alex picked Dexter’s choice for him, “A-Team.” Jennifer said it was a perfect song for him. Harry agreed with her again. Up next, a favorite among the ladies, Sam Woolf picked Jessica’s choice for him, “Sail Away.” Harry and Keith said that he is progressing and doing a really good job. Last but not least up next Jena Irene picked Caleb’s choice for her, “Creep.” She received a standing ovation by Jennifer and Keith. She received great feedback from the judges. Harry said it was his favorite performance of the night.

As for predictions on who might go home based last night’s performance it would have to be Jessica Meuse. Her performance was not up to par with that of the other contestants. She was the weakest link last night.

The three best performances of the night were Jena with “Creep,” Alex with “A-Team” and C.J Harris with “Gravity.” Let’s not forget Caleb, he is always consistently amazing.

Don’t miss the live eliminations tomorrow night at 9 p.m. on FOX.
