Tomorrow Apple watchers will get to feast their eyes on a new set of products set to be released from the tech company. The October 22 iPad media event will be held in San Francisco and Apple is said to be unveiling a number of products such as the iPad, iPad mini, OS X Mavericks, Apple TV, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini and the Mac Pro desktop. The Mac Pro desktop was first introduced in a theatrical like trailer in an effort to boast Apple's plan to redesign the desktop.
With the number of different laptops and hand held tablets out there it is no wonder why the market demand for the desktop has decreased. Apple has slated their desk top redesign for a fall release and are likely looking to boost the sale for their one time signature computer. Like all Apple products there have been a number of reports and rumors surrounding when the Mac Pro will be released and what features the device will have. A new thunderbolt display is rumored to come with the Mac Pro.
The last time Apple updated their thunderbolt display was two years ago. Those reporting the Mac Pro will feature the updated display caution that this is not a guaranteed feature since "Apple display updates have been very hard to predict due to their erratic update cycle," says macrumors.com. The Apple monitoring sight has made a few guesses as to what features the Thunderbolt display update is going to have. Macrumors.com "Best Guesses" include 4K resolution of 4069 or 3840 x 2160 pixels. Full details regarding the Thunderbolt display may come tomorrow during the Apple media event.
Those who rely on the Apple desktop at a professional level will be glad to hear the computer is getting a total overhaul. Rumored new features of the redesigned Mac Pro desktop include Ivy Bridge E Xeon processors with a total of 12 possible cores and a new cylindrical design. The updated features are also said to include USB 3.0, HDMI, 802.11AC Wi-Fi and dual AMD FirePro GPUs. There are no details yet regarding pricing and an exact release date but Apple watchers are hopeful all will be revealed during tomorrow's media event.
