The first information regarding the fifth season of "Arrow" is starting to make its way to the Internet. According to TVLine, the coming big bad for Season 5 will be named "Anton Church." At this moment it is still being determined if that is a moniker to cover the villains real identity.

TVLine describes Church as a "ruthless crime lord who sets out to fill the sizeable void left by Damien Darhk and HIVE" and "an apex predator" looking to take down "the biggest threat first." In Star City, that would be Oliver Queen and his team.

Lead actor Stephen Amell added some clues to the villains identity while speaking to Variety. "I've heard that our big bad, our villain, is something that you can really only do once you’re in the fifth, sixth or seventh season of a TV show," he said.

Meanwhile, it appears that a new vigilante will hit the streets of Star City to take on the bad guys while Oliver Queen is busy being Mayor. According to TVLine, the series is looking for someone to fulfill "the recurring role of a cocksure/reckless ex-Marine turned vigilante."

There were some earlier details that make reference to the character, saying the show is looking for someone named James, who is "irrepressibly charming... a man on a mission."

Apparently, this ex-Marine has a tragic backstory of his own. The series is looking for someone who is physically fit, who could "just as easily shake your hand as your best friend or break your neck as your worst enemy — and you never know which one is coming. Either way, he’s more than capable of having a good time as he does it."

Meanwhile, The CW has not officially confirmed when "Arrow" Season 5 will premiere, but it usually happens at the same time each year. If the network follows its trend, then the new season will premiere the first Wednesday after New York Comic-Con in October.
