Following its successful launch in Japan, Koei Techmo is bringing its game adaptation of "Attack on Titan" to the North America.

The title was first announced at Gamescom 2015. It is based on the successful manga and anime of the same name and is developed by Omega Force, which also brought such games as "Dynasty Warriors," "Dead or Alive: Last Round" and "Hyrule Warriors" on the Nintendo 3DS.

The "Attack on Titan" game will be set during the Battle of Trost. Players can freely walk around in the barracks and town and talk with other characters, upgrade weapons and gain intelligence on upcoming missions.

Characters who will appear in the game include: Eren, Mikasa, Sasha, Conny, Armin, Jean, Annie, Ymir, Krista, Reiner, Bertolt, Marco, Keith, Pyxis, Ian, Rico, Levi and Hange. All the voice actors playing the characters are reprising their roles from the television anime series.

Players who received the first edition copies of the Japanese game also received serial codes for "Cleaning" costumes for Eren and Levi, as well as a "Feather Duster Blade." The game also has a "Treasure Box" edition, which contains the game, an "Official Survey Record Collection," the games soundtrack, a muffler towel, two sets of Eren, Mikasa and Levi tin badges plus a download code for Armin's "Attack on Titan: Junior High" costume.

It is unknown if the "Treasure Box" edition will come to the north but if it does we can guess that the price will be somewhere between $90 to $100 as the Japanese edition cost $104 for PS4 and PS3, and $96 for PS Vita.

Meanwhile, Capcom announced a arcade title called "Attack on Titan: Team Battle." According to Gamatsu, the title is a four-player network co-op action game where players make use of the 3D Maneuver Gear to zip around the skies and kill titans. Visit Capcom’s JAEPO 2016 website here for more information. It is unknown if the arcade title will make it out of Japan but we'd love to see it in the north.

"Attack on Titan" will launch Aug. 30 for Sony's PlayStation 4, PS3, PS Vita, Xbox One and Steam. Check out the extreme gameplay below:
