The "SNL 40" special is easily one of the most momentous moments in recent television history. After all, the epic three and a half hour SNL program featured an endless number of significant alumni from its rich history as well as a number of memorable celebrities and actors that were a part of some of SNL's greatest skits.

Unforgettable appearances including Jerry Seinfeld, Larry David, Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Mike Myers, Dana Carvey, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy (where do we even begin?), and the list goes on and on. Fans not only got a chance to see their favorite SNL people return to the stage, but their favorite acts as well.

Hilarious returning SNL acts include "Celebrity Jeopardy" andwe enjoyed the delightful return of Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Jane Curtin in Weekend Update. Bill Hader reprised his Stefon character and Emma Stone brought back her favorite character from the past, Roseanne Roseannadanna, originally played by Gilda Radner.

Additional great acts during the night include the high-energy of Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon, eye-popping chemistry between 93-year-old Betty White and a much younger Bradley Cooper. The bit also featured an incredible Matt Foley tribute by the hilarious Melissa McCarthy!
