A nomination alone is a prestigious honor with the Grammy's being the forefront of all music award shows. After rumors have circulated for year perpetuating a beef between Rihanna and Beyonce, the Grammy nominations have sparked the chatter once again.
According to Bossip, the Bajan songstress has sparked Beyonce versus Rihanna chatter yet again! After the Grammy nominations were announced, a fan made a post dissing Beyonce for the "Album Of The Year" nomination that Rihanna was noticeably left out of. The Bajan songstress liked the post and now social media has been buzzing!
The post which congratulates Rihanna on her eight Grammy nominations completely bashes the Grammy Academy and comes from Beyonce suggesting that they didn't want her tied with or surpassing Queen Bey in the number nominations.
While we all like pictures on Instagram because we agree with it, many people believe that there is some deep seated beef between the two singers.
However, as soon as the news spread Rihanna quickly responded to the picture she liked explaining that she never read the caption, she just liked the pic and moved on.
"I never actually read your caption, thought the pic was funny and moved right along, the songstress writes. " Til I seen it pop up over and over! I'm petty af, yes. But this is just unnecessary! I wish y'all would drop this topic and see things from the bigger picture! We don't need to be putting black women against each other! We deserve to be celebrated, and the Grammy Academy agrees!
While her reasons are completely valid, its not going to stop the chatter of a beef between her and Beyonce, For years the rumors plagued the industry but the two ladies have never spoke about it publicly.
