Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper have been hugging the headlines with various reports speculating on whether they’re in a secret romantic relationship or not. But the latest buzz about the “A Star Is Born” co-stars is that they’ll be working together in a project once more.

Cooper is building up his directorial portfolio with another film in the works, which is a biopic about the legendary composer Leonard Bernstein. And according to a recent report, Cooper is bent on working with Lady Gaga once more and casting her for a role in the upcoming movie.

The report came from the UK-based publication Grazia, according to the fact-checking site Gossip Cop. However, Gossip Cop got suspicious of the story’s veracity since it considers Grazia to be an “unreliable outlet.”

In addition, Grazia also failed to provide additional details such as what Lady Gaga’s role might be in the upcoming biopic. More suspicious still is that none of the usual US-based outlets that are well placed in Hollywood reported Cooper casting Lady Gaga in the film.

Gossip Cop got in touch with a source close to Cooper and was informed that Grazia’s story is untrue. While Cooper previously indicated that he’d love to work with his “A Star Is Born” co-star in future projects, the Bernstein biopic is probably not one of them.

But Grazia’s story is not totally untrue. Cooper will indeed be directing another film. And as Grazia reported, it is about Leonard Bernstein.

Bernstein became famous when at a young age of 25 he became the conductor of the New York Philharmonic. His career soared further when he composed the music for the “West Side Story.”

Cooper, through his Joint Effort production company, will co-produce the biopic with Steven Spielberg, Amy Durning, Martin Scorsese, Kristie Macosko Krieger and Fred Berner, according to Yahoo Entertainment. The film will be jointly financed by Paramount Pictures and Amblin Entertainment.

The upcoming film will be Cooper’s second project as a director. His first directorial project was “A Star Is Born,” where he also starred alongside Lady Gaga.

A Star Is Born,” which was released in the U.S. on October 5, 2018, was well received by viewers, and it became a Box Office hit. With a budget of only $36 million, it raked in more than $430 million worldwide.
