No more living the sweet life for actor Charlie Sheen. According to sources, the former “Two and a Half Men” star may have finally found a reason to get clean once and for all. The National Enquirer revealed today that Sheen, 50, is HIV positive and is planning on announcing it to the world on the “Today” show on November 17.

Sources connected to the NBC morning show told TMZ that Sheen will sit down with Matt Lauer on Tuesday morning and will be making a “revealing personal announcement.” Although nothing has yet been confirmed, a source close to the actor told Radar Online that he has been struggling with the disease for a few years now: "Charlie thought he was indestructible and took no precautions, even though he was indulging in high-risk sex practices."

These rumors however, seem to be backed up by confessions made by Sheen’s former lovers including porn star Scottine Ross and ex-wife Brooke Mueller, who both claimed to have been exposed to HIV after sleeping with the star.

“I had a drug induced psychotic break at Charlie’s after doing drugs with Charlie for that many days,” Mueller allegedly wrote in a text message. “I couldn’t handle the HIV news. Just 6 months ago I was diagnosed with the eye disease and then Charlie potentially giving me HIV…”

Sheen, who has avoided the public spotlight since his controversial exit from the CBS hit series “Two and a Half Men” in 2011, was confronted about his HIV status in November 2014 but denied he was indeed infected with the virus. Sources report that he doesn’t know how he contracted it but reports mention he has slept with more than 5,000 women and abused several drugs. He is currently facing several lawsuits over the status of his deadly condition.
