Chloë Grace Moretz and her family had quite a scare over the weekend. According to TMZ, a total stranger jumped over the front entrance gate of Moretz’s Los Angeles area home, strolled up to the front door and knocked, hoping for a face to face with the 22-year-old actress and model.

Law enforcement told the news website that the incident occurred just before midnight on Sunday. The obsessed fan is said to have driven to Moretz’s property and parked outside before he snuck in. He apparently asked for Moretz but was told by her family members to leave. The actress was not at home during the incident.

After telling the intruder to vacate the premises, Moretz’s family called the police. When law enforcement officers arrived at the actress’s home, they found that the alleged stalker had not gone far. He was still sitting in his car, apparently waiting for Moretz to get home.

The man was arrested for misdemeanor trespassing. He is being held on a $1,000 bail and was put in custody on Monday.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time that Moretz has had to deal with an obsessive fan. In December 2017, the “Kick-Ass” actress was granted a restraining order against a man who had been stalking her.

According to E! News, a judge ordered a man named Terry Daniel Quick, who had been harassing Moretz and members of her family, to remain at least 100 yards away from the actress, her mother and her brother for the next three years. The man was also banned from messaging Moretz and her family online and through social media.

Moretz sought protection from Quick after a series of run-ins with the stalker. According to court documents, Quick had followed Moretz from the airport to her home, where he attempted to gain access. When police arrived to arrest Quick, he told them that he was engaged to Moretz. He had also followed the actress and her then-boyfriend Brooklyn Beckham to a concert and to a club afterward.

TMZ reported that in March 2017, Moretz called the cops on a fan who had arrived at her home with a container of treats. The uninvited guest had apparently rolled up to her house on a skateboard. When the actress didn’t answer, the man went to a neighbor’s house to ask where she was. Moretz called the authorities, but the man had already left by the time they arrived.
