New Jersey Governor Chirs Christie has an important message for his fellow Republican Party members: "If you want to win a vote by that kind of margin, if you want to attract the majority of the Hispanic vote, if you want to nearly triple your African American vote, you need to show up, you need to go into those neighborhoods, you need to campaign in places," Christie said. Governor Christie was jus re-elected with a 22 percentage point win in New Jersey. The GOP Governor credits this win to reaching out to Hispanic communities and winning the Latino vote.

Indeed, Governor Christie's victory came with over 51 percent of the Hispanic vote. It is a fact that did not go unnoticed by the Garden State Governor: "I'm very proud of that," he said. "Because I've worked hard with the Hispanic community to let them see how our policies can help their families. I've worked hard with the African American community. I've worked hard with seniors and students." Political analysts, particularly in the GOP, see Gov. Chritie's campaign as a possible blueprint for the 2016 presidential campaign, for which Christie is tipped to be a possible candidate.

Following Gov. Christie's impressive victory, Hispanic Media communications director for the Republican National Committee, Izzy Santa, explained the signficance of reaching out to the state's minorities: "In this race Gov. Christie earned significant support among minority voters. That's a testament to the success of his results-oriented leadership and an inclusive campaign. During this race, the RNC worked alongside the Christie campaign to engage early and often with Hispanic, African American and Asian voters," stated Santa.
