The fifth season of “Cobra Kai” will premiere earlier than expected, good news for those eager to see what lies ahead for Miyagi-Do Karate and Eagle Fang Karate.

The new season will pick up from the results of the All Valley Tournament which saw Cobra Kai reign supreme. Such led to the closure of the two other dojos although Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) used some evil tactics to make sure that Cobra Kai would win.

Regardless, some revelation is likely to happen. But for starters, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) has commissioned the help of an old face to help him in Chozen Toguchi (Yuji Okumoto).

From the trailer alone, Chozen showed off his familiar steely-eyed character against Silver. It will be interesting how he and Daniel will carry out their plan, which is to cut the head off the snake.

With so much to cover, an official trailer has been released by Netflix, announcing that “Cobra Kai” season 5 will premiere on Sept. 9, 2022.

It seems that the new season of “Cobra Kai” will be a bit divided. LaRusso and Toguchi will be up to something to get back at Silver.

However, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) is busy on a different trying to rectify his mistakes. He travels to Mexico to look for Miguel (Xolo Marduena) who journeyed off to find his biological father.

Something that will also remain a mystery is the fate of John Kreese (Martin Kove).

In the season 4 finale, Kreese was set up and arrested for aggravated assault and attempted murder, EW reported.

There is also the rivalry between Sam LaRusso (Mary Mouser) and Tory Nichols (Peyton List). The former is pushing herself to the limit after losing to Nichols.

For her part, Tory remains bothered by the fact that her win at the All Valley was not clean.
