Things are getting very testy between the two teams as Croatia wins one last free kick before the end of the half.

Momentum is once again shifting into their favor as there were calls for a handball on Daniel Pranjic. Referee waves play on as Croatia has a chance to counter.

18'- Another close chance for Mexico Croatian keeper Pletikosa did well to close down the angle. The score remains 0-0 after twenty minutes.

16'-And out of seemingly nothing Mexico nearly snatches the opener as Herrera's shot from about 25 yards out nails the upper ninety. you can't get any closer than that. Mexico are starting to come into this game.

Croatia really have their tails up as they are knocking on the door. Mexico is doing well to stifle them in their final third though.

13'-Croatia wins another corner after Ivan Perisic is put through on the right side only to cross the ball to no one in particular.

9'-Ivan Rakitic gets the first yellow of the match after a bad tackle on Juan Vasquez.

7'-Croatia decides to go short on the corner, as the in swinging ball is hit way over Ochoa's net. Goal kick Mexico.
