Eduardo Yáñez physically assaulted an "El Gordo y La Flaca" reporter during an event in Los Angeles. The video of the slap went viral and the telenovela actor is not apologizing for the violent incident. "I want to ask for a sincere apology to the public and the person affected by my action," he wrote on Twitter. "It was not right. My private life is not for sale."

Following the apology he also seemed to take a jab at Jorge Ramos after he condemned the actors inappropriate action against Paco Fuentes. "Nothing, never, nowhere, justifies aggression against a journalist, coming from an actor, a president, or government. Don't normalize the violence," the Univision news anchor wrote. Yáñez replied: "Yes, it's because you guys are untouchable."

We can understand Ramos' point of view as he was escorted out during a press conference held by then presidential candidate Donald Trump. The incident happened at the Grand River Center in Iowa, when the Univision reporter failed to yield when the presidential candidate wanted to take a question from a different reporter. "Sit down, you weren't called. Go back to Univision," Trump said as Ramos tried to ask a question that the candidate saw as being out of turn.

Jorge Ramos then said in an interview: "Never in my life, anywhere in the world have they kicked me out of a press conference or an interview. This is the first time and it's happening in the U.S. with a presidential candidate." He then asked the question: "If he does this to me, that I'm a U.S. citizen, what can happen with the other undocumented immigrants living here in the U.S. that haven't had my luck?"

Going back to the incident with Yáñez though, Paco Fuentes, the reporter affected, was a guest on the show he works for and host Lili Estefan, seemed to scold him and not take her co-worker's side. She told Fuentes that maybe he would understand why the actor got mad when he had his own kids. The reporter insisted that it had nothing to do with Yáñez' son as he made a general query to know his thoughts on going online and asking for funding.

Estefan also said that if she was in that position she would've stopped when Yañez started cursing and would "personally respect him as he started saying he didn't talk about his personal life." Lili went on to soften her stand by saying she would never justify the slap.

The entertainment reporter also said that after the incident he was left thinking if he could've done something different to not cause that reaction from the telenovela star. Raúl de Molina answered "nothing wrong" and Lili chimed in saying "maybe a little psychology." "When you see that Eduardo Yañez gets mad, maybe stop there," she said laughing.

Paco Fuentes was at an event in L.A. when he interviewed Eduardo Yáñez for "El Gordo y La Flaca" and asked about his son that publicly tweeted a GoFundMe account to crowdfund for a car and medical expenses. Eduardo said that Fuentes was disrespecting him and slapped him when he reached his boiling point. Paco did not retaliate and was reportedly taken to the hospital to get examined by a doctor and make sure he was fine.
