As part of Univision's new slate of telenovelas, "En Tierras Salvajes" is one of the most anticipated of the year. The drama series stars three heartthrobs: Cristián de la Fuente, Horacio Pancheri and Diego Olivera. They will all be fighting for the love of the character played by Claudia Álvarez. Although no set date has been revealed for the U.S. premiere, it is expected to start airing in México soon. A trailer of the soap has been leaked online and it looks like an intense story. "En Tierras Salvajes" is the story of three men who are in love with the same woman, and a woman who is condemned to decide which of them she loves. Isabel Montalbán, an uptown girl, moves to the village where her husband’s family live. No one imagines that this young woman’s presence in that house is about to change the entire family’s destiny…forever.

Luis’ two brothers, Sergio and Daniel, can’t help falling in love with Isabel. Both know they should give up on their feelings, for the sake of everyone. But love can’t be disguised in the eyes of those who love, and now, they can’t stop looking at her… Sometimes, the heart overlooks kinship. Human laws are not in command here… in these wild lands, the heart rules.

"En Tierras Salvajes" is produced by veteran Salvador Mejía who has past hits like "La Usurpadora," "Esmeralda," and "La Madrastra." Although Mejía is also responsible for huge flops like "Lo Imperdonable," "La Tempestad" and "Corazón Salvaje (2009)", this new production is expected to have a better faith. The original story is from the creators of Spanish series "Gran Hotel" and "Velvet."

The telenovela has had already a couple of controversies. It was originally announced that Mayrín Villanueva would star in the main role, but after less than a week of shooting, she was let go and replaced by Álvarez. Also starring in the soap are Ninel Conde, César Evora, Daniela Romo, Ximena Córdona, Lisardo and many more.
