Last Friday, Nov, 15, we lost one of our beloved telenovela actresses, Karla Alvarez. Known for roles such as Thalía's younger and stubborn sister in "María Mercedes," or Isabel in "Mi Querida Isabel" with Ernesto Laguardia. She found more success playing the main villain in "La Mentira" with Kate del Castillo. Roles in "La Intrusa," "Alma Rebelde," "Inocente De Ti," "Heridas de Amor," "Las Tontas No Van Al Cielo" followed until her last telenovela this year, "Qué Bonito Amor." Karla was found dead at her home in the Fuentes del Pedregal neighborhood of Mexico City. Her death has been confirmed as resulting from a cardiopulmonary arrest because of the 41-year-old actress' struggles with bulimia and anorexia.

Karla's friends and family gathered on Saturday to say goodbye one last time at a funeral home, where her father, Carlos Alvarez spoke to the press only revealing that his daughter's body was going to be cremated. After the wake, her body was taken to the Panteón Español, where her body was incinerated. Among the celebrities who gathered to pay their last respects to Karla, were José Alberto "El Güero" Castro, Felipe Nájera, and Aracely Arámbula, who opened up about her dear friend and revealed the late actress' desires.

Aracely expressed how sad she was given Karla's sudden death, because she always appeared to be very joyful, happy and with a great sense of humor. She also mentioned that when they starred in "Alma Rebelde" Karla opened her arms to her since she began working there halfway through the production. Arámbula added "We kept a beautiful friendship. She called me not too long ago and that's why this hurts so much. I ran into her in 'Corazón Salvaje' and even now, that she was in 'Qué Bonito Amor' I kept in touch because our makeup artist was the same."

"We spoke not too long ago about kids, about life, she told me she wanted to be a mom, she said very beautiful things," added Arámbula, disclosing Karla's most personal wish that now will go unfulfilled. Karla has been put to rest now, and all there's left is her amazing performances that will make her memory live forever. We want to know what your favorite Karla Alvarez's roles were. Was it Isabel? Or maybe Paulina in "Las Tontas No Van Al Cielo." Let us know in the comment section below!
