The FBI is now actively searching for a group of people allegedly responsible for a spate of fire incidents at Walmart stores along the Gulf Coast of Mississippi and Alabama, offering a $2,500 reward for anyone who can provide leads about the suspects.

Suspicious fires have reportedly started across various Walmart stores in the U.S. these last few weeks: one in Gulfport, Mississippi, and two around Mobile, Alabama, The Independent reported.

The FBI has made public six images of masked individuals they believe are suspects in starting the blazes. FBI spokesperson Thomas Loftis told the media that they suspect at least three people, including two men and a woman, are involved in the arson incidents, according to NBC News.

The first blaze was reported on May 27 at a Walmart store on Beltline Road in Mobile County.

The very next day, another suspicious fire was reported at a Walmart store at Tillman’s Corner in Mobile County, Alabama. The store is about nine miles south of where the fire blaze occurred the previous day, reported MSN.

Last week, another fire was reported at yet another Walmart store, this time in Gulfport in Mississippi, about 70 miles west of Mobile County.

Then, on Friday, June 4th, another fire incident reportedly took place at a Walmart store in Biloxi, about 10 miles east of the previous fire incident.

According to Mr. Loftis, the Walmart stores at Beltline, Gulfport, and Biloxi have remained open for business while the store at Tillman’s Corner remains closed.

“Our focus right now is the safety of our associates and customers. We will continue to work closely with law enforcement officials to resolve this as quickly as possible,” Walmart spokesman Scott Pope reportedly told the reporters.

Anyone with information regarding the suspicious fire or the suspects is asked to call the police at 251-438-3674.
