With World Cup qualification recently coming to an end, international soccer fans across the globe now know the 32 teams that will represent the sport of soccer at next summer's tournament in Brazil. The complete eight-group draw was announced earlier this month, placing some of the top teams in the world against one another while also creating some fairly easy pools for other clubs. The United States - winner of the 2013 Gold Cup and overall top spot in the CONCACAF Qualifying Hexagonal - was drawn into a pool with top teams in Germany, Portugal and Ghana, creating one of the most complete and difficult groupings in the field.

Though the 2014 World Cup field is set, FIFA recently announced its final rankings for 2013. Defending World Cup champion Spain - who took down Netherlands in thrilling fashion back in the 2010 tournament - lands in the top spot for the sixth-straight year while Germany, Argentina, Colombia and Portugal round out the top 5. Capping off a brilliant 2013 campaign with a World Cup clinching performance in the CONCACAF Hex, the United States finishes the year ranked as the No. 14 club in the world, less than 100 points behind the No. 10 team in the world, Brazil.

Mexico, now under the direction of head coach Miguel Herrera, was unsure of what their fate would be following the dismissal of former boss Chepo de la Torre. Struggling mightily on the offensive end throughout qualifying, El Tri received a significant boost when the Liga MX manager took control of the team, blitzing past New Zealand in a World Cup Qualifying playoff to earn the country's sixth-straight tournament berth. Making final preparations for the highly anticipated tournament, Mexico lands at No. 21 in the final FIFA/Coca-Cola World Soccer Rankings.
