got oathkeeper
Daenerys Targaryen with her advisers, Mormont and Barristan after taking control fo the last great slave city, Meereen. HBO

Season 4 of “Game of Thrones” continued on Sunday night with episode 4, “Oathkeeper.” Fans watched as Jamie and Brienne upheld their oaths pledged to not only each other but the now deceased, Catelyn Stark. Magaraey Tyrell’s grandmother Lady Olenna also revealed that she kept up her oath of not letting her granddaughter and future Queen of Westeros marry the abusive Joffrey Baratheon. The aptly named episode, continued with the theme of sacred vows when Jon Snow asked his brothers of the Night’s Watch to ride with him to Craster’s Keep and end the mutiny of Lord Mormont. And last but certainly not least, Daenerys held up her oath of freeing slaves, when she conquered the last great slave city of Meereen, and administered justice to 163 of the Great Masters. While the plot and unfolding action was brilliant, the dialogue and monologue in “Oathkeeper” was as fluid and powerful as ever.
