George and Amal Clooney are about to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary later this month. The world-renowned actor and the Lebanese-British barrister met at a fundraising event in 2013 and eventually married in September 2014 in Italy.
With their wedding anniversary coming up, the celebrity power couple is said to be renewing their vows. However, apart from sharing and strengthening their love for each other, the Clooneys allegedly want to use the event to reconnect their divorced friends Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.
According to UK entertainment magazine Heat, George and Amal are throwing a lavish party in their home in Los Angeles to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary and renew their vows. The publication’s source claimed that numerous celebrities are invited as the award-winning actor got upset when some of his friends didn’t arrive for their wedding five years ago.
“It always upset George that not all of their A-list friends managed to make it to their first wedding in Italy,” said Heat’s source. “This will be a huge event. He’s inviting Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Aniston. He’s joked that, this time, his Hollywood friends have no excuse not to turn up. Most of them live down the street,” the source continued.
The source further alleged that the event is another ploy to get Pitt and Aniston back together. The “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” actor has been separated from the “Friends” actress since 2005, but fans are keen on seeing the two get romantic once again. With Pitt being recently declared single and Aniston single as well, this provides a unique opportunity for them to rekindle their relationship.
“Everyone’s waiting to see if Brad and Jen will be seated together, given all the rumors they might reconcile,” the source explained. “It would be just like George to put them together — he’s so thrilled that, at the very least, they’re friends again. But he’s all for any sparks flying at the ceremony.”
Unfortunately for fans, popular fact-checking website Gossip Cop completely debunked Heat’s fabricated narrative. A source close to the situation denied that the Clooneys are renewing their vows.
The source also disclaimed the allegations that the couple is trying to get Pitt and Aniston back together. The claims that George has been trying to get his friends back together is an old story that keeps resurfacing but has been repeatedly proven false.
