Sarah Ferguson and Meghan Markle may be pitted against each other for the first time ever in the coming months. It has been revealed that the two women actually share a common interest.

In the past, Sarah Ferguson has already written and published a slew of books under her name. And this week, it was reported that she will add another title to her resume.

The mom of two is writing a children’s book about the importance of kindness, and her fictional story will also center on how to protect the planet, how to use social media properly and how to deal with cyberbullying. As of late, the release date for the Duchess of York’s book hasn’t been confirmed.

In the past, Sarah has also teamed up with author Imogen Edwards-Jones on some of her books. During a previous interview with Daily Mail, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife praised Edwards-Jones for being quick-witted.

“Every moment with such a clever lady is a jump into joy and creativity, and I am so lucky to have a friend like her,” she said. “I am excited about the future working with Imogen, as her writing is, for me, superb,” she added.

Last week, a source told The Sun that Meghan will soon become a published author with the upcoming release of her first book. The Duchess of Sussex’s story will revolve around her love for animals, particularly dogs.

“Meghan is going to become a published author and is very excited about it,” the source said. “The plans are in the very early stages and won’t be formally announced for some time. But she’s very excited about the possibility and is passionate about the idea of a work of fiction for children. She loves animals and her rescue dogs so it’s very likely they will be incorporated into the story. Any book will absolutely not be some sort of tell-all about her life in the royal family,” the source added.

In the past, Meghan has shown her expertise in writing through her lifestyle blog, The Tig. The mom of one also guest edited British Vogue’s September issue.
