While leaks happen all the time this latest for the HTC One smartphone takes the cake. A 12-minute video from a YouTube subscribers named GadgetReviews showcases the new devices design, features and applications. The leak has definitely left a lot of questions especially about the dual cameras on the back of the device which aren’t the same size and don’t appear to be designed for 3D. Since the initial leak the video has been pulled, gone private then back up and the poster has even taken to Twitter, saying that it’s not a real phone. Perhaps because after some threatening from HTC?
From the video (which can be seen below) we notice a couple of changes but overall it appears to look as rumored the power button has moved to the top right side, the headphone jack is now at the bottom but otherwise it looks the same. The camera has been really simplified to a shutter button and an options button that will let you choose between six modes: Camera, Video, Selfie, Zoe, 360 Panorama, and Dual Capture. The color scheme, or at least the accents around the UI, seem tweaked slightly to a green color and BlinkFeed looks more flattened and modern.
According to Geek there is a chance that the second camera on the back of the device will be used in the Zoe Camera mode. This mode allow users to upload photos and videos to HTC’s web service for additional functionality. The website also states that Zoe has been most likely updated to include Lyto-style refocusing, and the interactive feature will be made available online through HTC Zoe. Meanwhile HTC’s new flagship device is expected to be unveiled at an NYC event in the coming weeks on Mar. 25.
