While most celebrities have been outdoing each other by selecting the hottest new look for Halloween, Jennifer Garner has taken an unconventional route. The actress dressed up as a mailbox, and she did it deliberately to send a positive message.

“Live your truth,” Garner captioned her Instagram post. The video begins with a speech she gave to the class of 2019 at Denison University. The commencement speech is from May, in which she asked the students to choose “funny over sexy” when it comes to Halloween costumes.

“Why would you dress like a flirty nurse when you could be a mailbox?” Garner had asked during her speech. She has now lived up to her own words by dressing up as a mailbox.

Garner’s costume included a blue box that has the US Postal Service (USPS) logo on it. She even stuffed some envelops in the opening at the top of the box and carried an empty pumpkin handbag. She finished the look with a pair of white and red chequered socks and a blue USPS cap.

“Happy Halloween,” Garner wrote in the post. She chose the song “Monster Mash” by Bobby "Boris" Pickett & The Crypt Kickers to play in the background of the video.

The front of the house was decorated with cobwebs on the door and on the flower pots. The decorations also included a massive black spider on the door and tiny ghosts.

A video of Denison University commencement event has been posted on the university’s YouTube page, and it includes Garner’s full speech. The main theme of her advice to the students was about being responsible while enjoying life.

Garner has been promoting positive and inspiring messages on social media to inspire and entertain her followers. Her Halloween message has also been well received by her fans and celebrity friends.
