Jennifer Garner looked stunning when she attended the Hollywood Film Awards on Sunday. The actress appeared solo for the red carpet event and posed for the cameras in the beautiful black dress.

The long, floor-length black dress Garner wore for the evening had a slit that exposed her legs. The slit was trimmed with a very visible sparkling sequins. She finished the look with a pair of high heels that also had shiny silver-colored detailing.

Pictures of the actress at the event and a video of her posing for the cameras have been posted on Daily Mail. The dress is reportedly a Stella McCartney gown by designers Jill Lincoln and Jordan Johnson.

Garner accessorized with diamond earrings, bracelet, and rings. The jewelry matched well with her black gown with the silver sequins.

Sunday was a busy day for Garner. Before attending the Hollywood Film Awards, she was spotted with her family at church in the morning. She was joined by her 13-year-old daughter Violet and 7-year-old son Samuel in Palos Verdes, California.

Garner skipped the church service the previous week. Last Sunday she kept it casual with a t-shirt and denim skirt when she went to church with her children. She finished the look with a pair of black leather shoes.

Ben Affleck was missing when the family went to church. The reason why Garner skipped going to church previously may be because she was helping her ex, who has admitted he has been struggling with his alcohol addiction.

While Garner looked stylish at the Hollywood Film Awards, she does not advocate looking sexy. Instead, she prefers to channel her sense of humor in her outfits. After advising graduating students to choose to dress like a mailbox for Halloween instead of a flirty nurse, the actress dressed as a mailbox and shared a video on her Instagram page.
