Jennifer Lopez paid a sweet tribute to her dad on Father's Day by posting an adorable black-and-white selfie of the two. "Unconditional," she captioned the picture. Just days after the holiday, Lopez opened up about her relationship and special bond she has with her father, David Lopez.

"I feel like he's always been proud since I was running track when I was 9 or 10 years old," said J.Lo in an interview with the "Today" show. "It just didn't matter to him. He was just proud of me."

The Puerto Rican actress continued to express how her father is one of the most important people in her life. "I think of all the people in my life, he really thinks about what I go through as opposed to just what I have and what I'm doing," she said. "He said to me one time, 'I just want you to know [that] all of the people in the world, there's one person who just loves you and doesn't want anything from you. You have that in your life,'" an emotional Lopez recalled. "I'm very lucky, I have a lot of love in my life."

In addition to opening up about being "Daddy's Little Girl," the actress revealed that the NBC crime drama series "Shades of Blue" began filming earlier this month and it has been very "intense." She also talked about her Vegas residency stating that she feels good about it and she is getting used to the show.

J.Lo's main purpose for the interview, however, was to talk all about her upcoming flick, "Ice Age: Collision Course," where she does voice-over for Shira, a saber-tooth tiger, former first mate pirate and Diego's wife.

"It's fun to go in your sweats and sneakers and no makeup," Lopez said about working on the project. "What people don't understand about actors is that we really do like to be silly. We get to scream, make silly voices and really be fun, and dumb, and silly, and stupid," she said, assuring that her twin's, Max and Emme, know all about her silly side.

"Ice Age: Collision Course," starring Ray Romero, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary and Queen Latifah, premieres July 22.
