Despite the electrion taking place last week, tensions are still high as many Americans are still licking their wounds after finding out that Donald Trump will be the next POTUS. Kanye West, who is known as the "King of Controversy," bit off a little more than he could chew once he announced to fans that he would have voted for Trump. Since his big reveal, Twitter has been in a uproar.

Last night, during his Saint Pablo Tour stop in San Jose, the rapper declared to the crowd: "If I would have voted, I would have voted on Trump." After his announcement, fans immediately booed the rapper. Funny enough, one audience member can be heard clapping.

Yeezus who is known for his infamous continued to drive his view home. "This is my platform and I'm going to talk about the paradigm shift that's happening right now."

The 39- year-old rapperwent on to tell the audience that he's "glad Trump inspired racists to reveal themselves" and that if we can all hold out for another four years, he's still thinking about running for president in 2020.

Fans immediately took to Twitter to bash the rapper's views.

"Kanye show was not the move. He lost me at "I would have voted for Trump," one user tweeted.

"Kanye just said he would've voted Trump. San Jose is packing its bags up," another user posted.

In between songs, the rapper continued to speak his mind, letting the audience know his beliefs on the discussion of racism.

"Stop focusing on racism," he added, declaring: "We are in a racist country - period."

The rant comes as a shock as the rapper so famously blasted former President George Bush in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. "George Bush doesn't care about black people," the rapper declared.

Although Yeezus anticipated some backlash for his views, the rapper reiterated to the audience that no matter what your views are on the election, he wants trump voters to make themselves known.

"Whether you voted for Hillary or Trump, this is a safe space for both of you," he told the audience.

It's safe to say we miss the old Kanye.
