Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are now officially besties; that is if being best friends means constant texting and checking up on each other. Despite all the feud rumors swirling, the two showed that they can more than just get along, they can truly have each other’s backs.

According to a new report, the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex are now “talking and texting regularly about motherhood,” which inevitably is bringing them closer together. The Royal insider, Carolyn Durand, shared to Hello! Magazine, via The Mirror, that Middleton is indeed a great source of support to Markle in those days leading up to the birth of the latter’s firstborn.

Not only does this imply the rift rumors might no longer be true, but also shows that these rumors might have no truth to them in the first place. “They are family and have a really lovely friendship,” Durand shared.

The insider added that their relationship has changed over time. Contrary to them not getting along, Kate is said to have really shown genuine support for Markle’s entrance to the family and the ladies have become quite close as early as the time Markle married Price Harry.

If being regular text mates is not evidence enough, one only has to go back to the Cosmopolitan article wherein body language expert Blanca Cobb analyzed the ladies’ actions and gestures during the Wimbledon tennis tournament.

According to the expert, watching the two duchesses as they sat together and enjoyed the game made it impossible to say they have bad blood between them. How they sat together and smiled at each other were indicative of how much in good terms they are, opposite to how they were being painted.

Cobb explained that “Kate is tilting her shoulder downwards as if to get closer to Meghan,” in one photo. She claimed that this “shows interest in what someone has to say.”

The verdict she made of the Duchesses’ smiles is that these were genuine, “as indicated by the crinkling of the eyes, that you can see their top teeth, and that their cheek muscles are pushed up.”

The two bonding together just might be what the Royal family needs right now. It seems that the malicious reports about the Palace would not stop anytime soon and if the two cannot work together or support each other, more negative stories will naturally come up.
