Kristi Noem Says Undocumented 'Career Criminal' Stole Her Purse In D.C. Restaurant

South Park's latest episode has drawn criticism from US Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who accused the show of resorting to personal attacks instead of critiquing her work.

Speaking on the Glenn Beck Program podcast, Noem said "it's so lazy to just constantly make fun of women for how they look," referring to her portrayal with exaggerated makeup and a melting face from excessive Botox. "If they wanted to criticize my job, go ahead and do that. But clearly they can't – they just pick something petty like that," she added, as The Guardian points out.

The episode also depicted her shooting dogs, referencing an incident she disclosed in her 2024 memoir "No Going Back", in which she described killing her family's dog and an unruly goat. The episode linked this depiction to her public appearances at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids and in El Salvador's Cecot prison.

The takedown of Noem was not the only one aimed at members of the Trump administration. Vice-President JD Vance was also featured as a miniature cartoon version oiling Satan's rear end for Trump.

The clash follows earlier exchanges between the show and the administration. Earlier this week the Department of Homeland Security used a still from South Park to promote ICE recruitment, prompting the show's account to respond with "wait so we ARE relevant?"—a jab at a White House statement that the series "hasn't been relevant for over 20 years."

The season premiere, which also featured Trump in scenes with Satan, drew 5.9 million viewers across Comedy Central and Paramount+, the show's best opening since 2022. The renewed visibility coincides with a major business deal with Paramount which is estimated to be around $1.5 billion and includes global streaming rights.
