“Krypton” Season 3 would have been a dark chapter in the life of Superman’s father Jor-El, if it was made. Executive Producer Cameron Welsh shared the script of the pilot episode of the cancelled season online, revealing the plot and the main characters.

According to the script of the pilot episode that Welsh shared on his Twitter page, the plot would have been about Brainiac kidnapping Jor-El and raising him as his adopted son on Earth. The pilot episode showed a dark twist to the history of the young character, as he is seen as a bully on a destructive path, guided by his adopted father.

The scene that Welsh teased was about a bullied boy who goes to talk to Jor-El to try to make peace. The superhuman boy, however, attacks with his heat vision while Brainiac kills the bullied boy’s father.

The plot of the show was based in Russia, which is a nod to the 2003 comic book “Superman: Red Son,” CBR reported. The comic book had an alternate version of the superhero in which the character crash-lands on a farm in Ukraine, instead of America, and the superhuman is raised as a champion of the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

In “Krypton” Season 3, Brainiac appears to have plans of raising Jor-El as someone who could rule Earth. The show could have eventually saved the boy after the intervention of Seg-El and the others.

The dark side of the character is also a nod to the film “Brightburn” that also envisions the superhero turning into a super villain. In the film, the boy was corrupted because of the influence of a dark lord who wanted him to rule Earth.

“Krypton” TV series was cancelled by Syfy two days after airing the Season 2 finale episode. Welsh’s post on social media has made some fans star a “#Savekrypton” campaign on Twitter.
