The Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame kicked off 2016 by announcing this year's La Musa Awards nominees. Artists such as Yotuel, Beatriz Luengo, Louis Amati, Alicastro, Cachita Lopez, Richard Jay Alexander, Chairman and CEO Desmond Child and President Rudy Pérez attended the event in January, where nominees such as Shakira and Marco Antonio Solis were revealed.

With the 4th Annual La Musa Awards sneaking up on us, the list of latino composers who will be the new inductees of the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame (LSHOF) for 2016 has been announced early this week. These well-deserving artists are: Mexican group Los Temerarios, Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Robi Draco Rosa, Argentine composer Claudia Brant, Spanish songwriter Alejandro Jaen, Mexican composer Miguel Luna and Dominican singer Cheo Zorrilla. The songwriters, composers and/or lyricists will be be honored with the silver La Musa trophy statuette.

“The 2016 Inductees are some of the most inspired songwriters of all time," expressed LSHOF President Rudy Perez in a statement. "I always look forward to the La Musa Awards which is one of the year’s most exciting nights when industry colleagues and competitors gather together as one community to celebrate the unsung heroes of Latin music… the songwriters."

Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame CEO Desmond Child agreed: "I am absolutely thrilled to be part of this great organization and feel extremely proud of this year’s Inductees and their stunning career achievements."

The fourth ceremony of La Musa awards will be held at the Fillmore Miami Jackie Gleason Theatre on October 13. Check out the nominees of this year's star-studded event.
