Lamborghini Veneno Lamborghini

Lamborghini, Italy's king of crazy supercars, has just unveiled it's all-new Veneno hyper-exotic ahead of the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

Let's go to through the numbers: A savage 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine sends 740-hp to the wheels via a trick seven-speed ISR robotized manual gearbox. the Lamborghini Veneno is expected to reach 0-to-60 mph in 3 seconds flat before accelerating to a top speed of 220 mph. Lamborhini isn't playing games -- the Lamborghini Veneno is the fastest car to ever leave the legendary Sant'Agata Bolognese factory.

As quick as the Aventador-based Veneno is, that's not the best thing about it. Veneno's party piece is its cutting edge carbon fiber body that's even more complex and exotic than the $1 million Reventon and the alien Sesto Elemento. Lamborghini's designers didn't seek its inspiration from past raging bulls. Instead, the new Veneno looks more like the radical closed-cockpit LMP1 prototypes that wreak havoc at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Unlike the Ferrari F150 and McLaren P1 supercars, Lamborghini did not bother baiting the media with a slow release. Instead, the Veneno was kept a dark secret for months before it broke cover with official images yesterday. What's more, Ferrari will produce no more than 499 examples of its halo supercar. McLaren will stop production at 375. How many Venenos has Lamborghini pledged to make? Three.

According to the Sunday Times, the Lamborghini Veneo is slated to become the world's most expensive production vehicle, costing an unfathomable £3.1 million or $4.65 million.
