Thousands of fans were disappointed, but also concerned, after Luis Miguel walked out of the stage during his concert at “El Auditorio Nacional” in Mexico City last week. According to several Mexican publications, “El Sol de México” abandoned the arena without addressing the audience 20 minutes into his performance.

On November 19, the 45-year-old singer cancelled his second concert in Mexico City claiming to have a sever case of rhino pharyngitis, “It’s an inflammatory process that didn’t allow him to perform adequately during his concerts on the 18 and 19 [November]. He will return to his professional activities when his condition allows him to do so,” read the statement released by his management team on the night of the show.

Luis Miguel is scheduled to perform in Argentina on November 27 and 28 but after Mexico City’s catastrophe many are wondering if “El Sol” will be able to shine in the South American country. During an interview with Channel 13’s “Telenoche” hours before his first concert in Mexico City, the singer opened up about his Tinnitus condition to Argentinian reporter Roxy Vázquez and revealed his “in love.”

“I had to walk away from the album, from my career and my profession. But it was necessary, something that had to do with my person life but, I already went through that phase,” he told Vázquez when she questioned him about his hearing condition. “I wouldn’t want to recall it, or retake it. I would want to just go forward and think about the future. It was a situation that kept developing after all those years on stage, with all the decibels and volume levels for more than 30 years. It’s only natural for your body to react so I had to do what I had to do,” he continued.

“The mystery man,” as the Argentian media is calling him now, proved to be just that after Vázquez confessed she had to wait 3 hours before being able to interview the Mexican icon and not only that, she had to show several forms of identification, including her passport and fingerprints in order to have access to the five star hotel the superstar was staying at.
