Madame Tussauds Dubai has announced its plans to change Cristiano Ronaldo’s wax figure soccer jersey. This comes after the wax museum received much backlash from fans for using the wrong jersey on the Portuguese soccer player.

According to Eminetra, the famous London-based wax museum just opened in Dubai this week and featured Ronaldo’s wax figure wearing a striped black and white jersey from his former Italian team, Juventus. Online media platforms in both the UK and Portugal have pointed out that the soccer player’s wax figure jersey was so last three seasons ago and needed to be changed

In a statement from the museum, Tussauds Dubai gave news of the fashion revamp on the soccer player’s wax figure. “In a fast-paced world of sports where players move their teams on a regular basis, Cristiano Ronaldo fans are thrilled to hear that his wax figure will soon be updated in his new Manchester United jersey. Let’s do it,” Madame Tussauds statement said.

“Each person in the attraction is captured in an instant and resembles a symbolic part of their history,” the museum explained.

The celebrated soccer striker has just recently signed a 2-year-contract to return to Manchester United in the English Premier League. He was also given the option to extend his contract for the season. Ronaldo carved a name in sports boasting of a five time win of the Ballon d’Or from 2003 to 2009. He is the first Manchester United player to make a name for himself in the soccer world.

In the latest developments from the field, Ronaldo scored a late winning goal that completes a Manchester United comeback against Atalanta in the champions league. Starting off with a sluggish run, United handed out goals to the visiting Italians with a 2-0 lead within the opening half hour. However, United made a stunning return from the slump with Marcus Rashford's strike that halved the team's score deficit and sent home supporters into a frenzy.

Team captain Harry Maguire leveled the score 15 minutes from the whistle, after which a trademark Ronaldo leap and header slammed a goal within just 8 minutes from time. United capped another noteworthy win as it secured a 3-2 win in the Champions League at the Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, the Manchester United star's main squeeze, Georgina Rodriguez, is making quite the glitzy splash as she graced the magazine cover of L'Officiel India. In a stunning cover photo dressed in a cherry red dress, the 28-year-old Rodriguez was nothing short of a fashion goddess with the plunging sweetheart neckline and eye-blinding jewelry pieces by Chopard.
