A man reportedly attacked an off-duty police officer and bit his friend's nipples completely off in a heated road rage incident in Chicago on Sunday, Aug. 8.

Kyle Clark, 35, who was driving a black Volkswagen Jetta on Lake Shore Drive, reportedly sideswiped another vehicle carrying the off-duty Chicago police officer and his friend around 11:40 p.m on Sunday, Aug. 8.

When the off-duty officer and his friend pulled up alongside Clark and ordered him to pull over so they could file a crash report, Clark exited his vehicle and allegedly punched the off-duty officer twice in the face. He then proceeded to attack the officer's friend, allegedly biting the man’s nipple, and tearing it completely off when the companion tried to help the battered officer, according to Fox News.

Authorities were immediately summoned to the scene and took Clark into custody after a brief struggle. The off-duty officer’s friend, who reportedly lost his nipple in the attack, was shortly taken to a nearby hospital to have his wound closed with stitches.

Clark has been booked into the Cook County Jail, facing a lead charge of aggravated assault on a peace officer. He is being held on a US$100,000 bond, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. Clark reportedly also had a gun in his car at the time of the confrontation, according to the police.

Clark has also been charged with aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. He was previously convicted three times for aggravated battery of peace officers, twice in 2012 and once in 2006, CWB Chicago reported.

Clark is reportedly scheduled to appear before the court on Monday, Aug. 16.

In a similar but unrelated incident, a man was allegedly attacked and smashed in the face with bricks by two others following a road rage incident in central Delhi’s Ranjeet Nagar on Monday, Aug. 2 night.

The victim, identified as Naushad, was reportedly standing beside his scooter in Ranjit Nagar when two men in an Ertiga car reached the area and asked him to move the scooter, as their car could not pass through the narrow path.

However, a heated argument quickly broke out between the two parties. Following the argument, the man picked up bricks lying on the road and allegedly thrashed Naushad by smashing the blocks against his face multiple times, the Times of India reported.

Police were alerted of the incident after a video of the assault went viral on social media. Authorities have registered a case based on the video even though an official complaint has not yet been lodged by the victim.
