A teenage girl in Uttar Pradesh had her face slashed on Monday by her male neighbor after she refused his attempts to molest her inside her home. Police reports state that the 15-year-old girl was attacked while she was alone in her home located in the Bansdih Road area.
The 23-year-old neighbor wielded a knife and came at her intending to molest her. She fought and resisted his advances but the young man forced himself on her and repeatedly slashed her face with the blade.
According to Superintendent of Police Sanjay Yadav, the man tied the girl's hands as he slashed her face. She suffered several gashes and was taken to the district hospital for treatment, India Today reported. He added the unnamed suspect was later arrested after a case was registered against him based on the complaint filed by the girl’s father.
In a separate incident in Bihar’s Hajipur area, a video of a woman and her son being ruthlessly beaten by a group of men has gone viral on social media. The mother and her son had gone to see a dentist for a routine check-up at a clinic in Madai Chowk on Saturday when the incident occurred. While her son waited outside the doctor’s clinic, the mother claimed the doctor made “obscene advances” at her.
"The doctor molested me and tried to rape me,” she told the police officers at the Hajipur Nagar police station.
The woman tried to resist and protested the doctor’s attempts to molest her and struggle inside the room ensued. Her son, upon realizing what was taking place, rushed inside the room to intervene and rescue his mother, But in doing so, they were subjected to a beating by the doctor’s goons for putting up a fight and getting in the way of the doctor’s lewd intentions.
A molestation complaint was lodged by the woman and her son and the case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Sadar SDPO Raghav Dayal said this is not the first time the doctor has been accused of sexual misconduct with his patients. However, none of his past victims have lodged a formal complaint against him.
Meanwhile, the doctor’s brother has also filed a corresponding complaint against the woman and her son saying his brother has been falsely implicated and claiming that the woman refused to pay the fees for her check-up.
