After the kiss seen around the world at the Latin GRAMMYs between former couple Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, many people speculated that the two may be possibly getting back together. While those rumors were shot down due to Anthony being married to model Shannon De Lima, it turns out that anything is possibly. The couple is now going through divorce and things are getting messy!
According to People, Marc Anthony's divorce from wife Shannon De Lima was announced just a few hours after he shared a kis with his ex- Jennifer Lopez. Many people believed that the timing of the kiss showed signs of reconciliation between the stars after Lopez gave Casper Smart the ax after cheating. Unfortunately it seems as if his divorce was the inevitable with his lifestyle coming into question.
Sources close to the publication say that Anthony's career as a global sensation has caused his relationship with De Lima to be doomed from the beginning.
“Marc is so busy with his career, touring and recording that he distances himself from his relationships without even knowing it,” says an insider in the Spanish music industry. “Even with his wife in tow, she can feel like he is on another planet.”
The source also reveals that Anthony has a little bit of a rockstar mentality when it comes to balancing his wife and leading a single life simultaneously.
“Marc likes to have a woman at home but he also likes to live like a bachelor,” the source continues. “This doesn’t work for very long.”
So you can imagine that De Lima going through her struggles with Anthony about his lifestyle and possibly feeling what everyone else feels that Anthony still has feelings for J.Lo can do to their marriage. Sources also reveal that Anthony never stopped loving J.Lo.
“Marc has been in love with Jennifer Lopez since the day they met many years ago and that is a simple fact,” a Miami music source tells PEOPLE. “He was devastated when they split, and he will always be a part of her life because of their similar backgrounds, their kids, and their love of music and performing. It would take a very strong spouse not to feel some jealousy.”
