Meghan Markle won’t be by Harry’s side during an important occasion yet again. As per credible sources, Markle and both her kids Archie and Lili won’t be visiting England in July to attend a function that commemorates the late Princess Diana’s 60th birthday.

“Meghan is not going to travel,” a source close to the couple told Daily Mirror before adding, “She has just had a baby and Harry will travel alone.”

The function would mark Prince Harry’s second chance at a possible reunion with the members of the royal family and will also see the Duke giving a speech at the unveiling ceremony of the statue of their late mother that he commissioned with older brother Prince William back in 2017.

Incidentally, Prince William will also be giving a speech, albeit separately. Things reportedly continue to remain icy despite “peace talks” between the brothers.

The day will mark bigger innings for Prince Harry on a personal level, as sources alleged that the Duke of Sussex has been invited to a one-on-one lunch with the Queen.

“It’s a typically magnanimous gesture by Her Majesty,” a courtier was quoted as saying by Vanity Fair. “The lunch will be a chance for them to talk things through.”

The year sees Prince Harry’s return to the Palace for myriad reasons. The Duke had flown to England in April for his grandpa Prince Philip’s funeral. A heavily pregnant Markle was advised against traveling, and so Prince Harry visited the palace all alone. Fast forward to June, and things still seem ambiguous as far as Markle’s visit to the Palace is concerned.

The Sussexes have yet to reconcile with the royal family, even though both of them want to make peace and let bygones be bygones. Insiders claimed senior royals are still reeling under the shock of a spate of outrageous statements made by Prince Harry and his wife.

Prince Charles was reportedly livid at the parenting accusations, and he has allegedly warned Prince Harry from speaking against the Queen. But the Prince of Wales let the animosity aside when Lilibet’s arrival was publicly announced. He congratulated the couple and remarked that the event was “such happy news.”
