A six-year-old girl who went missing Sunday was found dead on the same day as a result of forced anal sex. The identity of the girl was not divulged but and the suspects behind the heinous crime remain at large over in Kaduna.
The girl was reported missing at around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 16. She was playing with other children at a neighbor’s compound at that time in Mararaban Jos, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
Parents and relatives started a search to locate the child but were unable to find her at first. Hours later, her lifeless body was found in the bushes with injuries to the mouth, nose and anus. Witnesses claim they saw two men in black attire flashing a touch light around the area where the body of the six-year-old girl was found. All this was confirmed by the Founder of Arridah Relief Foundation, Hajiya Rabi Salisu.
The girl was already buried under Islamic rites on May 17 at around 6:15 p.m. An unnamed doctor confirmed that the girl was sexually assaulted and that the cause of death was forceful anal sex. She was raped through her anus and bled to death.
"A doctor has confirmed that the girl was raped through her anus and eventually bleed to death. After an examination, it was discovered that the victim had been subjected to forceful anal sex which leads to her death," Salisu stated.
The grieving parents said they have accepted the unfortunate fate of their daughter but are fearing stigmatization as a result of the incident. Salisu added that they have reported the matter to the authorities and are investigating the matter.
As of press time, there remains no word if police have made any arrests or have any leads to the perpetrators of the crime.
