The Washington Nationals and Atlanta Braves game appeared to take off without a hitch as viewers and players were unaware of what happened just hours before.

Reuben Porras, a worker for MLB Network, died at Grady Memorial Hospital after collapsing at Turner Field when setting up for the game.

According to The Nationals' website, the 61-year-old man suffered a heart attack in an off-field media room around noon. Lee Kuntz, the Nationals' athletic director, adminstered CPR to Porras, who had no pulse and was unable to breathe, and later used an external defibrilator to stablize him, according to the Associated Press.

The defibrilator was recently installed in the stadium. Kuntz was also aided by his assistant, John Hsu, when stabilizing Porras.

Kuntz said the staff is trained in CPR every spring, but this was the first time anyone has ever had to use it.
