
Mumford & Sons bassist Ted Dwane must undergo emergency brain surgery after scans discovered a blood clot on the surface of his brain. Mumford & Sons released the news of Dwane's emergency surgery through their official website. The band explained that Dwane is currently hospitalized, and is receiving the best medical care available.
"Ted has been feeling unwell for a few days, and yesterday he was taken to a hospital to receive emergency treatment," reads a statement posted on the band's official website Tuesday. "The scans revealed a blood clot on the surface of his brain that requires an operation. Ted is receiving excellent care and we are being assured that he will recover quickly from surgery."
While the band seems mostly focused on Dwane's health and recovery, they did have to drop more bad news on fans. Due to Dwane's health scare, the band has postponed three concert dates this week, in Dallas, The Woodlands, Texas, and New Orleans, according to the site, which adds, "we have no plans to cancel or postpone any other appearances along this current tour."

The band expressed their well-wishes and love for Dwane at the end of the statement to their fans, writing, "We're all wishing Ted a speedy recovery. Much love, Mumford & Sons."
Mumford & Sons has been on a worldwide tour since releasing their second album “Babel” in 2012, the band has received many accolades not only from their but also critics, they took home 2 Grammy Awards in February , including Album of the Year.
